The Cotton Gin 

You would first place the cotton into the top of the Cotton Gin. Once its in the Cotton Gin you would turn the crank and the cotton would then go through a series of combs with blades on them. The combes would then remove all of the fibers and seeds from the cotton. After that the clean cotton falls into a bucket and is now ready for use.
